"Strike-anywhere" matches are designed to ignite easily and quickly on various surfaces, unlike strike-on-box or kitchen matches, which only ignite when struck on a specific surface. Our matches easily strike on the ribs located on our match strikes, just like the antique originals from over 100 years ago.
The difference between the strike-anywhere match and the typical kitchen match is the amount of phosphorus in its tip.
